Out of court settlements
We are convinced that avoiding litigations in case of cargo claims is a more valuable option. We have a longstanding experience in initiating without prejudice negotiations, leading very often to amicable settlements that avoid long and costly litigations to our principals.
When appointed for handling a claim we undertake to get strongly involved for reaching settlement agreements in the best possible terms, by collecting the most possible evidences and deeply scrutinizing them in order to build up a strong defence.
Monitoring legal applications
- Representing shipowners/charterers and protecting their interests when summoned to court surveys.
- Defending shipowners/charterers’ interests before Tunisian courts. Prior to lawyer’s appointment, we thoroughly scrutinize claim files and investigate the matter giving a relevant brief to an instructed lawyer and putting in place a pertinent defence strategy.
